Flawless Canvases with Aluminum Stretcher from Innovative Frame
For centuries, wooden stretcher have been the undisputed standard for stretching canvases. Now, however, there is an extremely robust and durable alternative: our specially developed aluminum stretcher frame, “Innovative Frame.” It’s particularly easy to handle and offers versatile options with three standard thicknesses of 2.2, 3, and 4 centimeters. Canvases up to 15 meters in length and 5 meters in height can be stretched evenly, quickly, and effortlessly.
A canvas for all painting techniques
The high tension and stability of our aluminum stretcher support painting techniques based on heavy layers, such as plaster and modeling paste (please select the appropriate canvas for this purpose). Techniques requiring a firm, board-like painting surface are also perfectly compatible with our aluminum stretcher. Why is an aluminum stretcher better than a wooden one?
The high-quality materials used in our aluminum stretcher ensure robustness and durability. Even in extreme conditions, like high humidity or salty sea air, it won’t warp. Pests have almost no surface to attack, preventing damage to the canvas or painting. The frame can easily be disassembled into several parts for transport. If the stretched material develops wrinkles due to unfavorable storage conditions, our re-tensioning system can remove them effortlessly. Large-format canvases are our specialty. In this area, we stand out for stability, lightweight construction, and superior tension.
