Our Tondo Frame - A Wrinkle-Free, Round Solution

Our Tondo is the result of extensive development work. The goal was to achieve excellent tension for a round canvas, comparable to that of a classic stretcher.

The result is a Stretcher whose elegance lies in its simplicity. The secret of this round wooden frame is the integrated tensioning system: an outer aluminum ring provides outstanding stability and strength for this round frame. Two additional wooden elements push against each other, ensuring uniform tension across the round canvas. The canvas is attached to one of these wooden elements with metal clips, enabling secure tensioning.

Re-tensioning the frame is also a breeze—with a simple flat-head screwdriver, you can restore the ideal tension on your canvas.

Proper canvas tension is essential for painting. Many other frame systems lead to unsightly wrinkles, especially along the edges. With our round frame, the integrated tensioning system allows you to achieve drum-tight tension in just a few steps. The design of our round frames ensures no wrinkling occurs, even at the edges.

A Round Solution with Numerous Advantages

Whether you’re looking for a round Canvases with a diameter of 40 cm, 60 cm, 70 cm, or even 300 cm, we are happy to produce our dimensionally stable round frames to custom specifications. The frame depth is 4 cm, but can also be customized upon request.
